Dr Azhar Khokhar is a highly respected consultant cardiologist and one of the UK’s leading figures in advanced cardiac imaging. As Head of Cardiology and Head of Cardiac Imaging at Southend University Hospital and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, he oversees a comprehensive cardiac service that delivers high‑quality care to a large and diverse patient population across Essex and the wider region.

With more than three decades of clinical experience, Dr Khokhar has played a pivotal role in shaping modern cardiac imaging pathways, integrating state‑of‑the‑art CT technology, evidence‑based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration into routine patient care.
